"The main cause of the problems that often accompany us throughout our life, is that we have come to love the filth we carry within ourself, expecting someone else to clean it out of us. And when someone tries to do so, we respond with fits of hysteria and anger. The problem lies in the self-centeredness, egoism, and utter cowardice that dwell within us and feeds our inner filth. We prefer to live in agony and self-pity rather than cast off the stench from our character and life, and embrace the life for which we were born, the life that God intended for us to live, when He created us."
